Renault and Nissan will invest into "AvtoVAZ" about 2 billion of dollars.

Renault-Nissan alliance will invest in co-production with "AvtoVAZ" about 2 billion of dollars by 2015 . This will allow companies to increase sales in Russia up to 1.6 million of vehicles during 4 years, reports RIA Novosti with reference to the Japanese newspaper Nikkei Business Daily. Renault, Nissan and "AvtoVAZ" has released 697.9 thousand cars in Russia in 2010.

Renault-Nissan owns 25% of the Volga car at the present day. Automakers expects to increase the "AvtoVAZ" proportion up to 50-60%. As previously was reported, the French company will receive 35-40% of share in the company and the Japanese - 15 to 20%.

Carlos Ghosn the president of Renault has announced in late May that he intends to take under personal control the partnership of the alliance with the Russian plant. In addition, he previously confirmed that he plans to increase the proportion of "AvtoVAZ". According to his words it would be "a logical partnership development of the companies".

First the production of Renault and Nissan cars in the facilities of "AvtoVAZ" were scheduled on the beginning begin of 2011. However, according to unofficial information, the automakers have decided to postpone the launch of such an assembly on two years.
