Railways will spend hundreds of millions of rubles on an alarm nearby "the Sapsons' route".

The "Russian Railways"- a state company will assign 360 million of rubles on additional security measures nearby the high-speed section of the Octyaborskaya Railway in 2011. It has been announced on the official page of the company. The St. Petersburg - Moscow route (where the Sapan train reaches up to 250 kilometers per hour) and St. Petersburg - Buslovskaya (a part of the Allegro train) with 93 pedestrian crossings will be equipped with audible and visual alarms with estimated expenses of 120 million of rubles. It has been spent about 57 million of rubles for construction and installation works for 6 months of 2011.

There is also a fencing path building in the region. About 248 million of rubles will be invested into this direction. Additional 23 pedestrian crossings will be built on the suburban platforms and more than 700 safety signs will be also installed.

According to the Railways data 174 people have been injured in the period since July 11th and 107 have died. The company says that the all railway accidents are connected with the non-сcompliance of safety regulations particular due to the fact that people try to jump their way to the wrong place.
