Ministers are not rushing to invest in government securities

Members of the Lithuanian government did not take their lead from President Dalia Grybauskaite and do not invest their savings in government securities (GS). Some say they do not earn as much as others opt for other methods of investing, wrote Lietuvos ?inios.

From June 2010 to April 2011 Grybauskaite invested in government securities more than 700,000 litas. She argues that both demonstrates its confidence in the state and its economic success.

Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius gets "hands on" 8300 litas, has assets amounting to 670 000 LTL and LTL 20 000 savings. He does not think about investing in government securities. "In the GS does not invest, because do not have the money" - conveyed Kubilius his adviser Virgis Valentinavichyus.

Defense Minister Rasa Jukneviciene the question, why not take the example of the president, said much the same way. "I have no savings, which could be invested. If there were then thought to be. At a salary not save," - said Jukneviciene.

Other ministers interviewed by a journalist - Interior Minister Raimundas Palaytis and Minister for Science and Education Gintaras Steponavichyus - just did not buy GS.
