Crimean wind power attracts 8 billion of euros investment.

\"\"Britain, Germany, France, Portugal and the United States have began building of several wind power plants in the Crimea with total capacity of 5,000 MW.

This has been announced by Basil Dzharty - the chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea while speaking at a meeting of the Ukrainian Council Regions, reports RBC-Ukraine.

\"The expected investment volumes are about 8 billion of euros. This year will start a new project in the Crimea dealing with alternative energy sources field with 795 million of euros investment from Greece \"- adds the Chairman.

According to the Main Directorate of Information Policy of the Council of Ministers along with the prime minister \"That power production will be increased in 3 times by 2014 and will ensure needs in more than a third.\" - As a result of all these Crimean projects.

Crimean Prime Minister pointed out that the promotion of innovation in alternative energy industry is \"one of the most important areas of autonomy\".
